What recent reviews say

Older customers praise Dr Cool's professionalism and value, but recent reviews paint a frustrating picture: late arrivals after advance bookings, unanswered calls and messages, and excuses on the day. One customer reported a unit was not serviced despite booking. Wait times and responsiveness appear to be ongoing friction points.

Common questions

How far in advance do I need to book?
Recent customers booked 2 weeks ahead. The business publishes opening hours for 7 days, so same-week booking may require phone contact well in advance.
What happens if the technician doesn't show up on time?
One customer reported a 1-2 hour delay after booking 10am arrival, then further delays. Communication on revised arrival times appears limited based on complaint of unanswered calls.

Most recent and older five-star reviews praise fast response, reasonable rates, and solid workmanship. But three recent one-star reviews flag serious problems: a technician's no-show 15 minutes before appointment with poor follow-up communication, inflated wiring charges (RM330 for 35 feet), and an incorrect compressor diagnosis that wasted the customer's time.

Most appointments happen within an hour of booking, with technicians arriving as scheduled and delivering thorough chemical washes. Staff clean up after themselves and give straight advice on whether services are actually needed; named staff like Mr Adeel and the aircon master team earn repeated praise for professionalism. Prices typically align with what reviewers are quoted upfront, though one complaint surfaced over sudden increases at payment. Repairs that others marked urgent (copper pipe leaks, gas refills) get same-day fixes. Three-unit chemical services run around RM 310 according to recent jobs.

Most customers report swift, competent work at fair prices with clean sites afterward. One recent install fell short: charges were not fully explained upfront, piping costs ballooned mid-job, and drainage was tackled unprofessionally when questioned, with no follow-up accountability shown. The team typically handles emergency calls on tight timelines and manages routine servicing smoothly. The problem emerges when installations hit complexity or add-on costs, where clearer communication and better problem-solving are needed from the start.
