Ask whether the contractor quotes per unit or per job, what the price includes (piping, brackets, wiring, trunking, disposal of old units), and what warranty applies to workmanship as well as parts. For older homes, check they will assess the electrical circuit before fitting an inverter unit. Look for clear written quotes, a named technician, and a willingness to explain a fault before replacing a part.
Our scoring pulls together public ratings, review volume and profile completeness, so you can see which firms have a consistent record and not just a few good reviews. The full breakdown is on the methodology page. When you are ready to compare, go to the ranked guide to air conditioning contractors in Petaling Jaya, then request two or three quotes.

ARZ operates across Selangor with rapid response and transparent pricing on air-conditioning repair, servicing, installation, and electrical work. Staff arrive on time, handle jobs neatly, and explain problems clearly without unexpected fees.
MK Aircon arrives on time and completes work quickly, earning consistent praise for speed and professionalism. Customers value their honest approach: technicians advise against unnecessary cleaning and charge fairly, while staff keep clients informed and clean up thoroughly. One reviewer noted cooling performance degraded three days after service, though overall sentiment remains strong across the board.
Frost Aircond Services delivers consistently high-quality aircon maintenance and repair across the SS7 area. Malik and Abdul stand out for explaining work clearly, catching problems early, and completing jobs quickly without hidden fees. Reviewers praise fair pricing against competitors, punctuality most of the time, and the willingness to return and fix mistakes. The team handles chemical cleans, basic services, repairs, and installations with equal care. Customers report seeing visible dirt removed and air quality improve. One reviewer noted a brief delay in communicating when running late, but the service itself remains polished and trustworthy enough that repeat business is the norm.
Customers consistently report fast response times and straightforward booking. Hassan and the team come across as knowledgeable and punctual, explaining problems clearly and delivering clean results without surprise fees. One reviewer hit a wall trying to book ceiling cleaning, getting ghosted after days of follow-up. Most others praise the team's responsiveness, but this gap in communication handling deserves attention if you're timing-sensitive.
Every review rated this business five stars. Customers praise technicians like Syed and MJ for arriving punctually, explaining work clearly, and leaving units noticeably cooler and spotless. Staff respond quickly to queries and accommodate last-minute bookings. Pricing sits in the reasonable range, and the service spans repair, chemical wash, gas top-up, and installation across the Klang Valley. The business covers old and new units alike with equal care. Reviewers appreciate the detailed workmanship, tidy job sites, and willingness to handle adhoc tasks. Named technicians build repeat bookings through knowledge and friendly demeanor. No complaints surface across the sample.

Reviewers consistently praise fast same-day repairs, with technician Guru resolving issues like clogged drain pipes and compressor failures efficiently. Staff communicate clearly, show before-and-after photos, and come across as genuinely helpful and easy to work with. One complaint stands out: a customer was quoted RM138 but faced a surprise RM100 charge for refrigerant top-up at the appointment, with an RM80 cancellation fee mentioned only after declining. Most reviews highlight fair pricing, but this incident suggests pricing terms can be ambiguous upfront.
Most customers experience reliable, on-time service with skilled technicians who explain work clearly and clean up after themselves. Staff like Ismail and Muhammed earn repeat bookings over years. One detailed complaint alleged unnecessary part replacement and incorrect gas pressure, later confirmed by the manufacturer's own technician, raising questions about diagnostic practices on that occasion. The business sends video feedback of completed work and accepts digital payment. Pricing is described as reasonable by long-term clients. Service covers everything from routine maintenance to leak repairs, with particular praise for friendly communication and follow-through, though prospective customers should verify gas pressure levels independently before approving any compressor work.
Reviewers consistently describe timely, careful work from staff who explain what they find and clean up properly before leaving. Technicians like Yasir, Zakwan, Naveed, and Afsar are named and praised for professionalism. The few complaints centre on unresolved leaks after payment and failures to follow up on promised fixes, which created justified frustration for those affected. Most praise the thoughtful method of chemical cleaning without dismantling units, competitive pricing, and willingness to diagnose problems honestly rather than oversell repairs. The business clearly sets a professional tone on most jobs, but service consistency appears uneven in edge cases where issues persist or callback promises slip.
Reviewers consistently praise Syamil and Afiq for quick, clean work at fair prices. Response times are fast, and when technicians arrive, they explain problems clearly and tidy up afterward. Customers report cold units and grateful returns to the service. However, a pattern of no-shows and delayed communication undermines trust. Multiple customers lost work days waiting with no call, no message, and no ETA offered after missing appointments. One reviewer noted trash and tape left on walls. These lapses sit uneasily alongside the business's otherwise strong execution.
Most customers report fast appointments and quick fixes for their air conditioners, with work completed to a professional standard and at fair prices. Shafiq leads a team that handles residential jobs smoothly and will accept last-minute calls; one negative review cited poor staff attitude and messiness, though this contrasts sharply with the 426-review consensus of reliability and value.
Genplus Air-Conditioning delivers consistently fast, professional servicing with named technicians Fai and Sabil earning multiple mentions for neat, efficient work. The team arrives on time, explains jobs clearly, and prices are transparent. One recent complaint about unresponsiveness to calls stands out against strong repeat-business and on-time performance across recent reviews. Their website lists detailed servicing packages (RM80 to RM250) and installation costs, with staff member Fiza noted for quick admin replies. Many customers book a second time the same year. Coverage spans Kelana Jaya, Damansara, Subang Jaya, and Petaling Jaya.
Over six years, this business has built strong loyalty through consistent, efficient work across sofas, mattresses, carpets, and air conditioners. Customers value their use of non-toxic, plant-based solutions and adaptability around work schedules; staff like Mohd Alif are noted for reliability and going the extra mile. Booking and execution run smoothly, often completed within hours. Reviewers appreciate the thorough, visible results (darkened sofa armrests noticeably restored) and the straightforward, friendly approach. Pricing sits well against competitors for the quality delivered.
Fast turnaround and genuinely clean work are what keeps customers coming back. Staff explain problems clearly, prices sit well with the service, and homes get noticeably cooler after the visit. Service feels personal here: technicians go extra to get the AC running perfectly, communicate throughout the job, and leave no mess. The combination of speed, reliability, and straightforward pricing has earned consistent five-star ratings across repair, servicing, and installation work.
Aircond Care Service earns high marks for rapid response, same-day bookings, and skilled repair work across residential and commercial systems. Technicians arrive on time, diagnose faults accurately, and leave spaces clean; staff like Sam, Afaq, and Imran are consistently praised. A single complaint flags the WhatsApp operator as short-tempered and unhelpful, which undercuts confidence despite strong field performance.
Most jobs turn out quickly and well. Technicians like Rehman and Shahid from Team 4 are praised for speed, politeness, and problem-solving. One recent installation went badly wrong: cement left on tiles, bent casing, damaged walls, and an AC that did not work afterward. The business blamed pre-existing wiring, but the customer disputes this.
Aisy consistently arrives on time and completes jobs efficiently, with technicians known for polite service and clear explanations. The team works cleanly, leaves spaces tidy, and delivers honest pricing. One installer failed to diagnose a copper issue at fit, then pushed chemical cleaning costs before arranging a proper inspection; the owner felt pressured to pay for defects that should have been covered under warranty. Customers return repeatedly for servicing (two units, multiple years). Gas refills, leak repairs, and chemical washes are completed same-day. Airbnb hosts and homeowners alike praise the fast response times and reliability, though the warranty claim experience in one 8-month-old review suggests checking workmanship at handover.
All 15 recent reviews give five stars. Reviewers consistently praise rapid response times, punctual arrivals, and technicians who explain their work clearly. The standout theme is honesty: one reviewer noted the team inspected four units but charged only for the one needing service, turning down unnecessary work. Installation and servicing both receive praise for neat, clean outcomes with thorough post-job cleanup.
Most customers praise Fresh Cool for clean, thorough work and staff professionalism. Kok Hou and Jasper stand out for attentiveness. However, a strand of complaints flags serious gaps: technicians have left dirt on floors and wandered through homes without permission, some jobs left customers worse off (bad smells, loud noise, cooling failures after service), and a few felt pressured on pricing or ignored when things went wrong. The business claims over 20 years' experience and offers a full menu from gas top-ups to chemical overhauls. Strength lies in their punctuality, customer service responsiveness, and willingness to explain work before and after. The risk is uneven technician conduct off the job and occasional disputes over warranty or repair scope.
Madyha Construction earns consistent praise for midnight and same-day emergency response, with technicians arriving within an hour or two of booking. Reviewers highlight affordability, fast job completion, and clean post-service tidying; units cool noticeably after work. The team operates around the clock and names Imran and Hannan as reliable staff. One reviewer reported significant delays (10am slot pushed to 2pm with vague updates), a caveat that offsets otherwise strong sentiment. Service spans repair, chemical wash, overhaul, gas top-up, and VRV/VRF installation across homes and offices.
SmartCool arrives on time and gets units running again fast, with technicians who explain what they're doing clearly and keep bills fair. Reviewers in SS 2, SS 8, SS 9, and SS 15 credit them for chemical cleans, gas top-ups, leak fixes, and clean installations that cool properly afterward. The team handles both homes and residential condos, tackling everything from water leaks to bad smells to technical faults. All 29 reviews rate five stars, with no complaints about scheduling, pricing overruns, or shoddy work recorded.
Twenty-three five-star reviews paint a picture of reliably professional work. Customers consistently highlight Mr. Ali's honesty (declining unnecessary parts), attention to detail during servicing and installation, and fair pricing. The team keeps work areas clean and responds quickly. Reviewers praise the quality of results: air conditioners noticeably colder after service, old units revived, and capacitor problems diagnosed transparently. Installation and dismantling work is described as smooth and tidy. No complaints appear across the reviews.
Ash Cool responds fast (often same-day) and leaves spaces spotless after each job. Reviewers trust them for everything from basic servicing to installation, and note reasonable pricing against market rates.
All 10 recent reviews gave five stars, with customers consistently naming punctuality, cleanliness, and professionalism. Praise centred on speedy service completion (same day), gas top-ups handled well, and friendly named teams (Umer, Wajahat). Prices for general and chemical cleaning fall below or near the market average for KL and Selangor.

Mark and his team deliver consistent, responsive aircon service over years. Installation is swift and careful, servicing thorough (they clean up and diagnose beyond routine work), pricing fair. One customer found the owner resistant to standard inquiry questions, leading to service cancellation. For most, the reliability and personal attention justify long-term loyalty.
All nine reviews award five stars. Customers consistently report fast arrival and completion, with chemical cleaning delivering noticeable cooling improvements. Staff go beyond the booked task: one technician cleaned filters on unbooked units and provided quotes; named staff (Rehman, Jeems) are mentioned by name as helpful. No complaints are evident in the review text.
Most customers report quick, affordable visits and working air conditioning units afterward. However, a recurring strand warns of incomplete outdoor unit cleaning, surprise gas top-up charges not mentioned during quotes, and final invoices exceeding agreed amounts. Service quality appears inconsistent, with some jobs failing within months.
Strong majority of customers report fast arrival, clean work, and friendly technicians who finish jobs efficiently and keep sites tidy. However, a small group flagged price discrepancies between the website and verbal quotes, lack of service records (WhatsApp messages disappear after 24 hours), and frustration when problems required a second visit that was charged again. Most reviews praise Imran and other technicians by name for professionalism and speed. Basic servicing for multiple units takes under two hours. The tension centres on pricing transparency: site lists fixed rates (water leak repair RM 70, troubleshooting RM 80, split unit servicing from RM 99), but some customers report being quoted differently in person without advance notice of size variations.
Most jobs run smoothly with on-time arrival, fair pricing, and staff who keep you informed via WhatsApp. The team handles routine maintenance well and resolves cooling issues that other shops missed. A small number of customers report unresolved noise problems after chemical cleaning and poor handling of complaints, which warrants caution if you book their wash service.
Most jobs go smoothly: technicians arrive on time, diagnose tricky faults others missed, and finish with neat drilling and piping. Pricing is reasonable, and the sales team adapts to schedule changes. One severe installation went wrong, with water damage and no follow-up, which suggests inconsistent quality control on complex jobs.
Reviewers consistently report on-time service and careful work during chemical washes, with technicians cleaning up afterward. Pricing is described as reasonable and communication responsive; detail on other service types is limited.
Strong work on jobs completed, with skilled technicians like Sam, Nadeem, and Asif earning consistent praise for speed and professionalism. Yet multiple reviewers report cancelled appointments, no-shows after rescheduling, and ignored calls, raising serious concerns about reliability and follow-through.
Most bookings go smoothly with efficient staff who finish on time and communicate clearly. One recent experience fell short: a 4-hour maid service lasted 2.5 hours with many areas left uncleaned (TV cabinet, shelves, study desk, yard), and payment was collected upfront. Results vary significantly.
Fast arrival within hours and clean work on multiple units completed in around one hour; pricing sits well for the Petaling Jaya area.
Both recent reviews cite punctual arrival, courteous technicians, and swift repair work on residential units. Reviewers specifically mention fair pricing and chemical wash capability alongside repair and diagnostics.
Reviews consistently praise the technician's professionalism, communication, and willingness to service multiple units in one visit. Pricing starts low (RM88 for repair, RM150 for chemical cleaning) and work quality reflects the operator's 10+ year track record in the KL area.
Most jobs are handled competently, but the booking and payment system has caused confusion for some customers, including unexpected staff changes and unclear charges. Quote and agree on costs before work starts to avoid complications.
